I've got your back ringo. Left coasters don't know how to play baseball ('72-74 Athletics notwithstanding....)

I spent 11 years just across the state line in Wilmington. Our Little League team would go to a Phillies game every year. I can remember games at Connie Mack (yes I am dating myself a bit) and the Vet. I still have all my 7-11 Baseball trading cups from '71 and '72 with the full Phillies team - Larry Bowa, Dick Ruthven, Wayne Twitchell, Greg Luzinski, Del Unser, Rick Wise, Larry Hisle, etc. Even though the Detroit Tigers are my favorite team, the Phils are my NL team (you are allowed to have a favorite team in each league - my rule).

We can only hope the Phillies make it to the WS again and that there is an early snow - remember when the polite and considerate crowd at the Vet threw snowballs at Santa Claus during an Iggles game?

Snowballs at Santa Freakin Claus.......are you kidding me?

I'm not a Philly native so it doesn't date you with me particularly :)

That was Ed Rendell, wasn't it? :) Seriously he did get caught throwing snowballs at an Eagles game if I recall. (our then-mayor, now governor ...)

That's Fluffyans for ya. "Polite" and "crowd at the Vet" aren't often used in the same sentence.
